A legal disclaimer

1. Booking and Deposits

• Retainer: A non-refundable retainer of 25% is required to secure your date. No date is held without a signed contract and deposit.

• Final Payment: The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to the event date. Failure to pay the balance may result in the cancellation of services.

2. Changes and Customizations

• Final Design: All decor designs, guest counts for seating charts, and custom motifs (such as wax seals) must be finalized 4 weeks before the event.

• Additions: We will do our best to accommodate last-minute additions, but they will be subject to inventory availability and additional "Rush Fees."

3. Accuracy of Printed Materials & Seating Charts

• Client Responsibility: The Client is responsible for providing the final, alphabetized guest list and seating assignments in a clear, digital format (Excel or Google Sheets preferred).

• Proofing Process: Sweet Dream Decor will provide one (1) digital proof of the seating chart or printed materials. The Client is responsible for reviewing all spellings, table numbers, and layout details.

• Final Approval: Once the Client provides written approval (via email or signature) to proceed with printing/production, Sweet Dream Decor is not liable for any errors found thereafter.

• Reprint Fees: Any errors discovered after final approval that require a reprint or "day-of" correction will be subject to a Rush Production Fee plus the cost of materials, provided there is sufficient time to make the correction.

4. Rental Items and Damages

• Ownership: All rental items (vases, linens, backdrops, stands, etc.) remain the property of Sweet Dream Decor.

• Damage Policy: The Client is responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to rental items from the time of setup until the time of strike (pickup).

• Replacement Cost: If items are returned broken, stained beyond repair, or are missing, the Client will be billed the full replacement value of the item.

5. Setup and Strike (Pickup)

• Access: The Client is responsible for ensuring Sweet Dream Decor has access to the venue at least [Insert Hours] before the event start time.

• Strike: Unless otherwise agreed, all decor will be picked up within [Insert Time, e.g., 2 hours] of the event conclusion. Any delays caused by the venue or Client may result in an "Overtime Fee."

6. Cancellations and Rescheduling

• Cancellations: If the event is canceled, the initial retainer remains non-refundable. Cancellations made within 30 days of the event will require payment of 50% of the full contract price.

• Rescheduling: If you need to change your date, we will make every effort to move your booking to the new date, subject to a "Date Change Fee" and our availability.

7. Limitation of Liability

• Force Majeure: Sweet Dream Decor is not liable for failure to perform due to "Acts of God" (natural disasters, pandemics, extreme weather) or venue restrictions beyond our control.

• Artistic Release: While we strive for perfection, the Client acknowledges that decor is an art form. Minor variations in flower color or placement may occur based on seasonal availability and professional judgment.

8. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from this agreement shall be governed by the laws of Washington State and resolved through Mediation/Arbitration before legal action is taken.
